Activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has shared the latest update on his legal case with gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.
Earlier, the Chief Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja, issued a bench warrant for VeryDarkMan's arrest, citing "criminal defamation" of gospel singer Mercy Chinwo’s reputation.
The magistrate directed the Nigeria Police Force and other law enforcement agencies to arrest him and bring him to court to face the criminal charges filed against him.
This followed a defamatory lawsuit filed by Chinwo, who alleged that VeryDarkMan’s claims on social media were not only inaccurate but also damaging to her public image and reputation.
In a recent video shared on his Instagram page, VeryDarkMan disclosed a letter dated March 27 in which the High Court ordered the Magistrate Court to cease all legal proceedings against him, including any arrest warrants.
Expressing his excitement over the court's decision, VeryDarkMan praised his ‘powerful’ legal team for their efforts.
His post drew reactions from social media users.
