Actress Queeneth Hilbert has reportedly filed a lawsuit against the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, following an alleged attempt to arrest her.
Reports indicate that Queeneth filed the fundamental human rights suit at the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos State.
In the lawsuit dated March 10, 2025, Hilbert accused the Nigerian police of attempting to arrest her at the instigation of her colleague and best friend, Destiny Etiko.
She described the police attempt as “illegal, unlawful and flagrant” thereby violating her constitutional rights as she sought protection from being arrested, detained, or interrogated regarding the video she posted on her Instagram page on March 7.
Queeneth is also seeking N100 million in damages for “unlawful invasion”. She filed her suit after Destiny Etiko filed a N100 million petition against Queeneth for defamation.
Recall that Queeneth, in a now deleted video on her Instagram page, called out Etiko for allegedly snatching colleague’s boyfriends, including hers.
