Jude Okoye, the former manager of P-Square, the music duo of his twin brothers Peter and Paul Okoye, has been granted N100 million bail by a Federal High Court in Lagos.
Presiding over the case on Monday, March 3, 2025, Justice Alexander Owoeye, ruled that Okoye must provide two sureties in a like sum. One of the sureties must own a landed property, among other conditions. Additionally, the court barred him from traveling out of the country.
Jude Okoye was arraigned last Wednesday by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on money laundering charges involving N1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59.
His company, Northside Music Limited, was also charged on a seven-count indictment.
According to the EFCC, in 2022, Okoye and his company, allegedly acquired a property at No. 5, Tony Eromosele Street, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos, for N850 million, funds the commission claims were proceeds of unlawful activities.
