Reality TV star Tuoyo Ideh has raised an alarm over the increasing trend of prostitution and hookup culture.

In a post on his Instagram story, Tuoyo argued that this could lead many individuals into a life of loneliness, sadness, and depression.

Tuoyo pointed out that normalising paid sex discourages people from pursuing meaningful, emotional connections and marriage.

He noted that paying for sex removes emotional attachment, making it challenging for individuals to build genuine relationships.

The former Big Brother Naija housemate also condemned the rise in underage prostitution, highlighting the alarming rate at which young girls below 18, are engaging in the act and eventually giving birth to children they cannot cater for.

According to him, this trend promoting laziness among young women.

Tuoyo believes that if this trend continues, many people will never get married, and it will have a detrimental impact on the world.

He wrote: “If we continue to let prostitution and runs thrive in our community, many of us will never get married and we will ruin the world we leave in. Many of you are used to paying for sex in which emotions are never involved. You all will end up lonely, sad, and depressed.

“It has become so bad that even girls under 18 have started doing this, then you end up giving birth to children you can’t take care of, Prostitution (Runs) has made so many girls lazy that they don’t even plan to work again and you all want respect”.
