Human rights activist Just Adetoun has applauded Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo for listening to her concerns and ensuring a face lift for some sections of the Murtala International Airport.
In a video shared on her Instagram page on Monday, February 24, 2025, Adetoun expressed her joy at the improvements she noticed upon her arrival in Nigeria.
She commended the minister for addressing the concerns of citizens regarding his ministry. However, she also raised the issue of numerous individuals claiming to work at the airport.
Adetoun observed that upon disembarking from the airplane, she encountered several people gathered around who claimed to be airport staff.
The activist expressed surprise by the number of these individuals and questioned why there were more of them than actual airport employees.
She also questioned the number of agencies operating at the national airport.
Adetoun suggested that any agency working at the airport be mandated to wear uniforms and name tags for easy identification by Nigerians.
She directed her questions to Olubunmi Kuku, the Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
