The Grammy-award-winning singer, Temilade Openiyi popularly known as Tems, recently delivered an amazing performance at the Formula 1 anniversary event.

The 75th anniversary launch of Formula 1 took place at London’s O2 Arena on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, marking the beginning of a new season.

During the event, 20 drivers and 10 team principals were presented along with the unveiling of each team’s 2025 season liveries, colour schemes, designs, and branding applied to F1 cars.

The season is expected to kick off on March 14 and end on December 7.

As part of the event, Tems performed a rendition of her hit single ‘Wait For U’, accompanied by an orchestra, to launch Aston Martin’s James Bond-themed livery. The car was showcased alongside its drivers during her performance.

Tems shut to fame in 2020, after her collaboration with Wizkid on the song ‘Essence’.

In 2023, Tems earned her first Grammy for her contribution to ‘Wait For U’, the 2022 hit song by Future featuring Drake.

Tems received her second Grammy in 2025 for the ‘Best African Performance’ category.
