A Nigerian lady has shared the extensive bride price list presented by her village elders upon hearing of her relationship with a foreigner.

The viral list included items such as drinks, food, livestock, and cash. The lady known as @silasglory on Tik Tok expressed her sadness at her father’s absence during the bride price discussion.

The total bride price on the list amounted to N1 million, with the consultation items costing N150,000

The list has sparked controversy among Nigerians, with some criticizing the high bride price while others defended it.

Silasglory noted the sudden interest of her elders in her marriage upon discovering her foreign fiancé.

The lady captioned the video, “POV: What my bride price paying day sounded like when my villagers heard oyinbo inlaw. I really missed my dad on that day," the lady captioned the video.
