After Tems emerged as the winner of the Best African Music Performer category at the 67th Grammy Awards, a fan of afrobeats singer Davido expressed his anger.

The award presentation caused controversy among Nigerian music lovers after the superstar lost in the category he thought he should have won.

Tems was given the trophy instead by the Grammy organizers, a decision that has sparked discussions on social media.

A distraught fan, who went by the handle @dombillionz on TikTok, took to the platform to express his annoyance and accuse the organizers of manipulating the awards.

He said in his impassioned tirade that Davido was the more worthy winner due to his skill and services to the music business.

He said, “See ehh, Grammy e be like say una dey play politics with this thing. Davido suppose win Grammy this year. This guy is good. Una wan tell us say Tems better pass Davido? She sabi sing pass Davido? Abi she sabi baff up pass Davido? We no come trust this una award again. We no trust am. This thing is being politicised."
