In a shocking accusation, Nigerian actor Yomi Fabiyi claims that Adura Aloba, the late musician Mohbad's younger brother, demanded ₦3 million in return for a tape purportedly depicting a fight between the singer and his wife.
The actor made the accusation at a recent World Press Conference devoted to pursuing justice for Mohbad, who died on September 12, 2023.
Yomi Fabiyi claims that Adura sent him a direct message offering the contentious footage.
Fabiyi recounted, “Adura Aloba, Mohbad’s younger brother, sent me a DM after listening to me for a while and reacting in the comment section.
When he realised that I didn’t see the DM in time, he asked me to check my DM, and lo and behold, he offered to give me a video of a fight between the late singer Mohbad and his wife for ₦3 million.
He shared a 3-seconds video and there was a violent argument in the video in the background. I probed further for a longer video and uncensored images but the conversation got stuck at that point.”
During the conference, the claim caused instant blowback, and Fabiyi was interrupted by Mohbad's mother. She vehemently denounced him for what she called derogatory comments toward her lone surviving child.
However, the actor promised Mohbad's mother that he would defend his surviving son Adura in order to secure justice for the singer who passed away.
Calls for in-depth inquiries into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad's unfortunate death have continued to garner attention.
Concerns regarding family dynamics and transparency in the pursuit of justice are brought up by Fabiyi's accusations, which add another level of complexity to the current conversation.
