There have been mixed reactions on social media after veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Ezeonu berated two young upcoming actresses for their choice of attire at an audition.
During the audition, where Ngozi Ezeonu was a judge, two ladies arrived wearing crop tops and leggings.
This did not sit well with the veteran actress, who criticised their outfit choices.
Ngozi Ezeonu questioned why they would show up for an audition without wearing a bra and a more appropriate outfit.
Expressing her disapproval, Ngozi Ezeonu stated, “Any day I’m overseeing an audition and any lady shows up dressed like this, I will disqualify the person.”
The actress’s remarks sparked a widespread argument, with many supporting her view, while others questioned her approach.
Below are some reactions
@Treazyblaq: I understand that bras can be uncomfortable, and many girls with smaller breasts might prefer not to wear them. However, there’s a time and place for everything. An audition is similar to a job interview, it’s your chance to make a strong first impression. Just like you wouldn’t show up to an interview dressed casually or inappropriately, the same applies to auditions.
Your attire sends a message about how seriously you take the opportunity. If you show up dressed like you’re just running down the street to buy bread, it gives the impression that you’re not serious. And honestly, no one will take you seriously in that context, I certainly wouldn’t. Dressing appropriately shows professionalism and that you mean business.
@MyPrecious_Boy: I don't know y pple don't undastand wat she's trying to say. She doesn't mean it's wrong to wear bra. She said at times it can feel uncomfortable to wear. Which I agree. She den move 4ward by saying dere's time 4 evrytin. U've no choice Dan to wear it on sum occasions. Na wa o
@WOpakirite: Na for this generation we come dey hear say bra is uncomfortable.
@katorinyon: Professional ethics has been relegated in the film industry. Thanks Nne
@TadyJerry: And she's not even a feminist. Nollywood need more women like her.
@heyitzpearl: As them no fit tell them for house ,make outsider talk . Maybe them go hear
@chidi_ik: She could have just called them to one side to advise them instead of embarrassing them like that. This is wrong.
@realTobiAkinbo: Very good address, it's really bad how some of these girls think that breast and nyash can catch anything for them by flaunting it.
@your_Favxparte: When you're not auditioning for the role of a stripper...?There's an outfit for different occasion...in the corporate world an audition is equivalent to an interview...these baddies should learn to carry themselves with poise and grace....it is more dignifying
