Nigerian rapper Oludemilade Martin Alejopopularly known as YCee has urged the government to outlaw the usage of point-of-sale (POS) devices after revealing how he lost N2 million.

The rapper revealed how he lost more than N2 million in 2024 on his Snapchat channel.

YCee claims that in November 2024, N2.7 million was taken from his bank account. He disclosed that his ATM card was used to make the illegal withdrawals, and that three transactions totaling N2.7 million were taken.

YCee clarified that N700 was taken from his account after N1 million was first taken out and then another N1 million was stolen.

He subsequently learned that the money was taken from a POS machine rather than his ATM card as he had initially believed.
