Activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has criticized Nigerians who took to social media to insult him following his claim that hackers breached his NGO website and redirected N180 million.
VeryDarkMan took to his Instagram page to announce the incident and mention that he was travelling to Jos to apprehend one of the individuals responsible for stealing the money.
This sparked widespread criticism from Nigerians, with some attacking VeryDarkMan and involving his family in the situation.
However, in a post shared on his social media page on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, VeryDarkMan lashed out at the critics. He described them as stupid and lacking sense.
He questioned why so many people rush to comment on issues without proper analysis. According to VeryDarkMan, if there were actually missing funds, he would have gone to the police headquarters in Abuja, where he resides, or the EFCC headquarters also located in the FCT, instead of going to Jos as previously mentioned.
The activist clarified that there was no missing N180 million and that he instructed the person in charge of the website to shut it down to observe the reactions of Nigerians.
VeryDarkMan also tackled the media, stating that they have been corrupted and have neglected to thoroughly investigate emerging issues.
