Seasoned vocalist Eldee The Don has shared his role in the early phases of Grammy-winning singer Ayodeji Balogun often known as Wizkid's career.

During his appearance on Adesope Live, Eldee disclosed that he was the one who persuaded Wizkid to perform afrobeats.

He stated that Wizkid was initially leaning toward dancehall and reggae when he was signed to the EME record label, but he was advised to produce music with Nigerian characteristics.

He said, “Wizkid was leaning towards reggae and dancehall when Banky W signed him before he dropped his first single, but I told him he has to find a middle ground and do something Nigerian with a lot of flavors in it."

Wizkid, according to Eldee, heeded the suggestion and began creating Afropop songs like "Don't Dull" which led to a significant break for him.
