Davido sets new record for most-watched TikTok live stream in Africa

Nigerian superstar David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has broken the record for the most-watched TikTok livestream in Africa with 389,800 viewers.

On Wednesday, October 30, the Grammy nominee shattered the record while co-hosting a livestream with TikTok celebrities Jo Blaq, Jarvis, and Peller.

At the same time, more than 164,000 individuals viewed the livestream.

Davido received more than 377 lion gifts on TikTok, with each lion gift costing $400.

Davido announced that Peller, Jarvis, and Jo Blaq, the co-hosts, would receive the funds.

Peller previously held the record for the highest TikTok livestream viewership in Africa, which he set during a session with afrobeats diva Tiwa Savage. Davido has now broken that record.
