Crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, has hinted at suicidal thoughts following bribery allegations involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In response, EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede has ordered an immediate investigation into the alleged bribery accusations purportedly leveled against some Commission officers by Bobrisky in a viral audio recording released on Tuesday, September 24th, by activist VeryDarkMan.

In the recording, Bobrisky claimed to have paid EFCC officials N15 million to drop money laundering charges against him. He also stated that he never spent time in prison but stayed at a private lodge. This scandal has caused a stir, with many expressing concerns about the level of corruption within the EFCC.

On Thursday, September 26, 2024, Bobrisky took to his Instagram page to suggest that he has become suicidal due to the allegations. The crossdresser noted that he does not need sympathy from anyone as people are trying to bring him down.

“I have never in my life thought about suicide, but now it is coming to my head seeing what human beings are doing to their fellow humans just in the name of bringing them down by force or because you don’t like them. I don’t need sympathy from anyone. The people I might have needed sympathy from are my late parents. But who will fight for you? Friends? Haters, you won.”

In April, Bobrisky was arrested and sentenced to six months in prison for mutilating the naira. After serving his sentence, he was released from prison. However, there are speculations that the crossdresser was never in prison, an allegation he denies.

Bobrisky has now deleted all his posts on Instagram shortly after stating that he has become suicidal.
