Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, widely known as Tems, has proclaimed her respect and admiration for controversial American rapper Kanye West.
The Grammy Award-winning singer declared her affection for Kanye West in the most recent episode of the podcast "Shopping The Sneakers," emphasizing that there are moments when she can identify with him.
She said, “I love Kanye [West]. I relate to him sometimes."
Additionally, Tems disclosed details about her romance with American R&B singer Brent Faiyaz. According to her, she has known Brent Faiyaz for a very long time and she considers him as one of her close friends because he is very supportive.
She said, “Brent Faiyaz is my very good friend. I have known him since like 2021. He is a real one. He is always supportive. I have a couple of artists I’m close to and he’s one of them."
Recall that Tems earlier revealed that she was open to marriage. Unlike many other celebrities who have openly rejected the notion of marriage, the 29-year-old singer expressed her openness to seeing what the future holds.
Tems, meanwhile, has become the first female musician from Nigeria to surpass one billion solo Spotify plays.
She accomplished the feat after the release of her eagerly awaited debut album, "Born In The Wild."
