Nigerian-South African beauty queen Chidimma Adetshina has expressed her desire to join the next edition of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija).
In a recent interview with Cool FM, Adetshina said she is confident she could make an impact on the popular reality TV show.
“I want to enter Big Brother Naija next year. If I could stay for seven weeks at Miss SA, trust me, I’m sure I can do it,” she said.
Adetshina also mentioned that she has no plans to return to South Africa after the Miss Universe Nigeria Pageant.
Recall that, Chidimma was racially attacked by South Africans while competing in Miss Universe South Africa. After facing attacks on her Nigerian background and an inquiry by South Africa’s Home Office into her mother’s citizenship status, she decided to withdraw from the contest.
In her interview on Tuesday with Cool FM, she shared that she would stay in Nigeria and is not considering returning to South Africa, a country she grew up in, due to xenophobic attacks.
“I think it’s safe to say I’m not going back. It’s been amazing. I’m not even looking forward to going back to South Africa. I just want to explore more, stay longer, and see what happens next,” she said.
