Davido's first baby mama, Sophia Momodu, has allegedly filed a counter-102-paragraph affidavit opposing afrobeats singer Davido's request for joint custody of their daughter, Imade.
It should be recalled that the singer filed a lawsuit for shared custody of his daughter just a few days before his traditional wedding with Chioma Adeleke, claiming Sophia was denying him access and demanding money.
According to Davido, he and Sophia Momodu had decided to co-parent their child years ago after they decided to terminate their relationship.
He asserted, however, that this agreement had not been upheld, citing Sophia Momodu's rejection of his house offer and her demand for a N5 million monthly payment, among other things.
In response, Sophia Momodu said that during Davido's romance with Chioma in 2020–2022, she had an affair with him. She refuted the accusations that she was preventing him from seeing their daughter Imade, saying instead that Davido had never tried to see her and had left her behind because she wouldn't have sex with him.
Sophia reportedly submitted a 102-paragraph declaration to challenge Davido's request for joint custody, according to recent sources. Dr. Anthony Idigbe, SAN of Punuka Attorneys, and Dr. Bimpe Ajegbomogun, representing her legal team, filed the affidavit.
Davido and Sophia Momodu's next hearing is set for Friday, July 5, 2024.
