Nigerian music icon Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, widely known as D’banj, recently paid homage to his former business partner, Don Jazzy, acknowledging the significant impact he had on his musical career.

In a heartfelt confession, D’banj said his music journey would be incomplete without the contributions of Don Jazzy.

On Tuesday, June 4, the 'Oliver Twist' singer shared a video capturing his visit to Don Jazzy, where he extended an invitation to his 20th-anniversary celebration in the music industry.

D’banj expressed his excitement after visiting Don Jazzy, saying that it brought back some fond memories of their achievements.

The singer took to his social media to share the moment, writing: “My 20 year journey cannot be complete without It’s @DONJAZZY again! Giving him the invite to my anniversary dinner was a moment filled with nostalgia. As we both celebrate 20 years in the industry, I’m reminded of the countless memories and milestones we’ve shared together. Here’s to two decades of brotherhood, entertainment, and unwavering support. Love you always, Brother! OooSHeeeee.”

In 2004 they co-founded Mo’Hits Records. Despite their successful partnership, the label disbanded in 2012 due to diverging paths, with Don Jazzy attributing the split to differing visions.

Post-Mo'Hits, Don Jazzy established Mavin Records, nurturing talents like Rema and Ayra Starr, while D’banj started his own label, DB Records, continuing to shape the music industry in his unique way.
