Nigerian content creator, Stanley Okoruwa has apologized publicly for bringing baseless accusations against well-known businessman Emeka Okonkwo, often known as E-Money, and Jennifer Awele, the wife of late actor Junior Pope.
Recall that E-Money had started looking for two ladies and a man who said the billionaire had an affair with the actor's widow.
Following E-Money's petition against the defaming video, the content creator was taken into custody by the Lagos State Police Command.
In a surprising turn of events, the content creator apologized for his behaviour, withdrew his claims, and said that his main motivation for making the accusations was to increase the number of people who liked his Facebook page.
He said: “E-Money, I am so sorry for tarnishing your image. I only made the video that E-Money was sleeping with Junior Pope’s wife just to gain more followers on Facebook."
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, recently announced that the content creator would face legal action for defaming E-Money.
The spokesperson also said that E-Money complied with the law by reporting to the police.
Hundeyin said: “He is going to be prosecuted because the things he engaged in were criminal in nature. He has allegedly defamed E-money and he is going to be prosecuted."
