Omowunmi, the wife of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad has begged the late singer not to sleep in death.

The widow placed the call amid rumours of a plot to conceal Mohbad's autopsy results.

Mohbad's toxicology test revealed that the reason for his death could not be determined, according to Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Wahab Shittu.

Speaking to the media following the coroner's inquest on Wednesday, Wahab stated that the pathologist had stated in his court filing that the singer's body had already begun to decay when the test was conducted.

He said: “According to him, the cause of death cannot be determined.

“He gave a lot of reasons. He said by the time they conducted the test, the body had decomposed and that it was not possible for them to determine the cause of death. So the summary he is saying is that the cause of death cannot be ascertained and when you say the cause of death cannot be ascertained, it means it is suspicious, it is not clear, no particular reason.”

According to Shittu, the pathologist also suggested that the reason for his death might have been a response to some medications he had taken just prior to passing away.

In response, Wunmi posted the message, "Ilerioluwa masun" which translates to "Ilerioluwa do not sleep" on her Instagram profile.
