Controversial singer Portable has been released from custody after being arrested by the Lagos State Police Command.

His release was confirmed by Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin on Wednesday, May 15.

When asked if Portable had resolved the issues, the spokesman added, "I have no information on that, but what I can confirm is that he has been granted bail."

The singer was forcibly arrested on Tuesday, May 14 for allegedly failing to complete payment for a G-Wagon he had purchased.

According to multiple reports, he bought a Mercedes Benz GLE 350 from Ogunsanwo Temitope (Temmy Autos), a car dealer in Lagos, but did not finish the payment.

Daily Post reports that the 'Zazzu' singer had only paid N13 million out of the N27 million total for the car and has refused to pay the remaining N14 million.

In the meantime, Portable has announced his latest single, "Spiderman".
