Nigerian-American singer, Collins Obinna Chibueze, better known as Shaboozey, has reportedly made history on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart by displacing Beyonce from the number one spot.
Shaboozey’s song ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ has taken over Beyonce’s ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ as the number one song on the Hot Country Songs chart this week.
This is the first time in history that two Black artists have consecutively topped the chart.
A tweet from the American music statistics company’s Chart Data states “Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” rises to #1 on this week’s Hot Country Songs chart, replacing @Beyonce’s “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM”.”
It is reported that Shaboozey collaborated with Beyoncé on two tracks from her eighth studio album, Cowboy Carter.
