Big Brother Naija All Stars first runner-up and Pepper Dem winner Mercy Eke has stirred controversy with her response to Hilda Baci's Guinness World Record.

In less than a year, the well-known Nigerian chef who gained popularity in May for her attempt and success in the Guinness World Record cook-a-thon, has lost her position.

After she was overthrown, Guinness World Records, took to X to ask whether Hilda Baci would ever attempt to break the record once more.

It wrote: “Will we see you reattempt one day?”.

Mercy Eke responded on Hilda Baci's behalf, saying that the chef has no intention of trying to break the record again.

She wrote: “No!!! She’s done and dusted”.

Many online users took offense at Mercy's response since they pointed out that she had tried to win Big Brother Naija once more by competing in the All Stars competition.
