Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Mayorkun, has stated that YBNL boss, Olamide inspired how he writes his lyrics.

In a new video shared on his Snapchat page, Mayorkun praised Olamide’s impact on his lyrical prowess and stated that Olamide made him realise that good song writing doesn’t always have to be in the English Language.

Captioning the video, he wrote, “Na Baddo (Olamide) make me know say pen game no be by English o! IYKVK.”

In the video, Mayorkun, while freestyling, said he picked the words from one Olamide song ‘Mu Emu’ which was released in 2013.
