Burna Boy has been in the news recently after thousands of netizens have come to terms with the old narrative that the top afrobeats musician is generally disrespectful, proud and pompous.

Recall that recently, Burna Boy has been widely criticised for looking down on the afrobeats genre in an international interview. Burna Boy stated that afrobeats has absolutely no substance.

His statement infuriated many of his fans and afrobeats lovers, who were of the view that afrobeats made him who he is today.

Joining the conversation is popular activist, Aisha Yesufu, who showed an old video where Burna Boy was spotted talking down on his mother and grandfather while they were on set for an interview.
