Artists like Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy have successfully held the fort Africa's growing afrobeat industry.

Artists like Tems, Ayra Starr, Majixx, Victony, Ckay, Adekunle Gold, Baby boy AV, Fave, Ruger, Zinoleesky, and Fireboy DML also successfully introduced themselves to the scene in 2022.

Salle

Gospel Kosisochukwu Peter, popularly known as Salle is a 17-year-old singer/songwriter from Imo state. She started singing at a very young age. She got recognition and fame when a viral video of her singing a song she wrote trended online.

Popular influencer Mufasa Tunde Ednut posted the video and she started to get a lot of views. She also received cosigns from Rihanna and Don Jazzy. Unfortunately, she could not get signed to a record deal and has been working as an independent artiste.



Majeed

Ekeh Chiaka Joseph, professionally known as Majeeed is a singer and a songwriter from Imo state. The artiste is gradually transcending from being an upcoming Nigerian artist to going mainstream.

He is signed to Dream Empire music. He recently dropped his debut project; Bitter Sweet which made it into the top 10 albums on Apple music Nigeria.



Kayode

Oluwakayode Oyetoro, popularly known as Kayode is a 23-year-old singer/rapper from Ogun state, Nigeria. He has been doing music for more than three years now. He rose to fame when his single live started making waves on TikTok. The sound garnered over 1.3 million views.

The song itself has amassed over 25 million streams on streaming platforms. He also released a song titled 456 featuring Victony.



SirBastien

SirBastien is a 2022 upcoming Nigerian alternative singer, producer and songwriter. He mainly does majorly R & B music. The visuals for his song home with you ft. Remy Baggins and Daynim was distributed by Mr. Eazi’s emPawa Africa although SirBastien is still an unsigned artist.

He has currently released three projects although he is an unsigned artiste. He has mentioned Amaarae and Santi as artists he would love to work with.



Lade

Lade has made big waves this year after her song, “Adulthood Anthem”, also known as “Adulthood na scam”, went viral. She first came into the limelight with her “Airtel 444” advert and Nigerians really loved her style of music.

She is the hottest upcoming 2022 Nigerian artist right now.



Lojay

Lojay is one of Nigeria’s fast-rising talents. He is well known for his hit song “Monalisa”. Lojay also worked with Zlatan on “Only Fans” off DJ Neptune’s recent album.

His style is described as having a pleasingly sensual innuendo steeped in his Yoruba roots.
