Simi and obsessive influencer lock horns, Nigerians react

Twitter finally got their boxing match today between influencer, Mazi and Nigerian Singer, Simi.

It all began with an outburst from the sultry singer warning Mazi to stop talking about her again.

She tweeted, "And I dare you, @i_pissvodka, to never talk about me again. Unless u're obsessed or I'm really bringing you that influencer money. Because I'm just a little girl minding my own. Or next time you see me outside, come to me and speak ur mind...

"Let's talk woman to child - instead of you sneaking, taking pictures of me, looking for laughs on social media. Big boy, you gawky internet bully, twitter warrior, I dare you to dislike me enough to pretend I don't exist. So ti gbo ????," She added.

Twitter users were left wondering what could have troubled Simi so.

Further findings by MyNigeria took us down @i_pissvodka profile where we found out the influencer had been blocked by Simi for a long time until he suddenly got unblocked and gained access to some of Simi's tweets.

He gleefully retweeted them and got on the songstress nerve.

The post that riled Simi up was a Christmas post where the songstress engaged in a playful pose with her hubby, Adekunle Gold, which Mazi Ibe retweeted

Investigative twitter wanted to find out what deep issued stemmed between the duo that led to this venomous twitter squabble, few hours to boxing day's end.

Here are a few reactions:

@trending_medic kept asking mind-boggling questions. She said, "Abeg before you jump and take a side between Mazi Ibe & Simi; try to find out why she blocked him years ago. It's common sense, use it."

She got her answer immediately.
