Nigerian social media content creator and podcaster Teymesan has weighed in on the ongoing debate of paying gospel singers for their performances.
Femi Lazarus, lead pastor of Light Nation Global, raised concerns over gospel ministers demanding certain amounts of money for their services.
The clergyman believes gospel singers charging for appearances, racking up more than N5 million per show, is unacceptable.
His comment caused a stir as several entertainers disagreed with his stance, pointing out their reasons.
Singer Timi Dakolo questioned Pastor Lazarus for charging $150 for his ministry school and condemning gospel ministers for their fees.
In response to the ongoing debate, Teymesan stated that this approach cannot be done to American singers such as Cece Winans and Chandler Moore.
He wrote, “Body of Christ don start fight again o. You people can’t try this with Cece Winans or Chandler Moore.”
His post attracted reactions with netizens saying.
