Comedian and activist Mr Macaroni has tackled those who openly support corrupt politicians, describing them as "traitors".

Mr Macaroni stated in a series of posts on his X page on December 5, 2024, that Nigerians who condone the actions of corrupt public officials are contributing to the rots of the country.

He wrote, "Politicians will come and go! The only constant thing is the country!"

"When you support corrupt politicians for whatever reason, you contribute to the rot in the system and reduce any tiny chance to make things better. You are a traitor and you have no shred of dignity!"

The content creator made these remarks following the arrest of human rights lawyer Dele Farotimi, which has sparked widespread reactions among Nigerians who have taken to social media to condemn the treatment of the activist.

In another post, Mr Macaroni said, "How can the system in which the people seek justice be so criminal?" Dele Farotimi called it and the script plays itself right before our eyes!!! Oppressors have completely taken over the country and you can now be the aggrieved, judge, and jury all at once in Nigeria."

He also wrote, "For how long will the Nigerian Police continue to allow themselves to be used by the 'High and Mighty' to oppress Nigerians?" he asked.

The comedian also lamented the misuse of civil matters for political retaliation, adding that the rich and powerful often "manipulate the system without facing consequences.
