Senegalese-American music icon Akon opened up about his preference between Nigerian Afrobeat stars Wizkid and Davido.

While speaking with content creator Issraissry, in recent interview, Akon was prompted to pick his favorite between the two.

With a laugh, he chose Davido, praising him as "the ultimate shouter." Akon humorously noted that his choice might stir some controversy, saying, "I get in trouble for mentioning anything about Davido. But I'm going to stick with Davido."

Akon, who has previously worked with both Wizkid and Davido, sometime ago revealed how he attempted to bring the duo under his music label, Konvict Music.

The revelation sparked a flurry of reactions from fans across Nigeria, highlighting the enduring debate over the two artists' impact on the Afrobeat scene.
