Popular social media commentator, Martins Otse who is popularly known as VeryDarkMan has turned to music after he was sued by popular gospel musician, Mercy Chinwo.

With the court hearing fast approaching, VDM released a song on his Instagram page, revealing that he drew inspiration from the gospel artist.

"Thank you @mercychinwo for the inspiration. I love you, ma… EWENSU PROD BY @sojistar_producer (COURT CASE SOON). Love you all, RATELS," he captioned the video.

Chinwo had sued the influencer for alleged defamation, following claims he made about her financial dealings with her former record label, EeZee Conceptz, owned by Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu (EeZee Tee).

VDM had accused Chinwo of diverting funds from shows without paying her former label and further alleged that she breached her contract before leaving.

In a lawsuit dated March 3, Chinwo’s lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, described VDM’s remarks as "libelous, malicious, and damaging" to the singer’s reputation.

Olajengbesi argued that VDM was not directly involved in the dispute between Chinwo and her former label but falsely presented the matter in a way that tarnished her image.

He further accused VDM of making multiple videos to his millions of followers, portraying Chinwo in a "caricaturist and disdainful manner" while siding with EeZee Tee in the dispute.

According to the lawsuit, these videos were deliberately created to ridicule the gospel singer.
