Popular activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as Verydarkblackman (VDM), has accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of allegedly extorting money from DJ Tunez, Terry Apala, and DJ Osas.

In a video shared on his social media platforms, VDM claimed that the anti-graft agency invited the celebrities over allegations of naira abuse.

He alleged that EFCC officials took them to various locations and threatened to treat them the same way they did Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky.

According to the activist, the agency allegedly demanded and collected $6,000 and $5,000 from each individual before releasing them.

VDM further stated that he has sources within the EFCC who provide him with information about their internal operations. While acknowledging that the head of the agency is a good person, he accused some EFCC officials of engaging in corrupt practices that tarnish the commission’s image.

He urged the EFCC to take stricter measures to regulate its officers and prevent further misconduct.

The EFCC has yet to respond to these allegations.
