In what appears to be strange, popular fashion icon and entrepreneur, Toyin Lawani, posted pictures of her and her son hawking and selling on the streets.

She revealed that she made her 6-year-old son sell and hawk on the streets for his 6th-year birthday shoot and to also teach him life lessons.

She gave reasons for her actions in a caption attached to the Instagram post where she wrote:

”For my son’s 6th birthday shoot, I made him walk in the shoes for the less for a day, we sold fruits to people and hawked in traffic, few people recognized us but didn’t care. He didn’t stop asking me questions when we got home. Anytime we drive past and I give them money, he’s always asking why this, why that. Now he understands. Life is not rosy all the time.”

For my sons 6th Birthday shoot I made him walk in the shoes of the less for a day , we sold fruits to people and hawked in traffic , few people recognized us but didn’t care ,I even tried selling to them ,will post a video later and he learnt a lot from it, He didn’t stop asking me Questions when we got home ,anytime we drive past kids and I give them money ,he’s always saying why this, why that.
