Afrobeats singer Tiwa Savage recently shared her thoughts on why Nigerian singers are so determined to succeed in their music careers.

During a conversation on the ‘Shopping the Sneakers’ podcast’, Savage mentioned that living in Nigeria is tough.

She pointed out that due to the economic conditions in Nigeria, artistes have to work extremely hard to achieve success in the music industry.

Savage explained, “When you come to Nigeria, you will understand why we breed so many superstars. To survive in Nigeria is something else, so that’s why the artistes that come out of Nigeria are just like hustlers. They are just hustling.”

In a heartwarming moment on the show, Tiwa Savage was asked to choose a sneaker for herself or someone else. She decided to gift it to her security guard, Chris, who then chose a pair for his daughter.

The singer was filled with joy and excitement as she appreciated her security’s gesture.
