Nigerian music icon Inetimi Timaya Odon popularly known as Timaya has caused a stir on social media after he made it clear once again that he’s not interested in dating Nigerian girls.

He’s been open about his preference for foreign women instead of local ones, and he didn’t hold back in a recent video with celebrity interior designer Ehi Ogbebor.

In the clip, Ehi was telling her followers that Timaya needs a woman, but he quickly shot that down, insisting he didn’t need a girlfriend, especially not a Nigerian girl.

To drive the point home, Timaya even did a popular Nigerian gesture, rotating his arms over his head and snapping his fingers, which means God forbid.

The video sparked quite a few reactions online. Some guys supported Timaya's stance, sharing their own reasons for why they feel the same way, while others were there to defend Nigerian women.
