Nigerian disc jockey, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, believes that there is hope for Nigerians to have a female president one day.

DJ Cuppy made this known after Namibia became the first African country to have both a female president and a female vice president.

She stated that this move has become a beacon of hope for women in Nigeria.

Taking to her X page, DJ Cuppy said, “Namibia just made history.

“Africa’s FIRST country with BOTH a female President AND female Vice President.

“Maybe there’s hope for Nigeria one day after all…”

Reports indicate that Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah was recently sworn in as Namibia’s first woman president after winning elections in 2024.

Namibian Vice President Lucia Witbooi also made history in the Southern African country.
