Popular social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as Verydarkman (VDM) has alleged that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is more corrupt than the Nigeria Police Force.

In his latest social media post, VDM claimed that despite public perception, the anti-graft agency engages in more corruption than the police.

His remarks follow allegations that some EFCC officials have devised new schemes to extort money from young Nigerians.

"EFCC is far more corrupt than the police in my books. Forget that they go after politicians; corruption has deeply eaten into the agency. Many of their officials, though not all, take advantage of their position to extort young Nigerians on the streets, and now they are targeting celebrities," he said.

His statements come after he previously accused the EFCC of extorting money from DJ Tunez, Terry Apala, and DJ Osas.

In a video, VDM claimed that the agency invited the celebrities over allegations of naira abuse, only to take them to various locations and allegedly threaten them with the same treatment given to Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky.

According to him, EFCC officials allegedly collected sums of $6,000 and $5,000 from each individual before releasing them.

The EFCC has yet to respond to these allegations.
