Rema, Mercy Chinwo, Ayra Starr, others win big as Nigerian artistes bag 6 TRACE awards

The TRACE Award 2025 was held at the Mora Resort in Zanzibar, Tanzania on February 26, 2025, bringing together various artistes from 30 countries across the world.

Many Nigerian artistes emerged as winners in different categories including Rema, Mercy Chinwo, Ayra Starr and Dbanj among others

The event highlighted the richness and diversity of Afro music, showcasing genres such as Afrobeats, dancehall, hip-hop, Afropop, and more.

Artists reportedly competed in 24 categories, displaying incredible talent and creativity that continued to shape the global music scene.

Singer Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema won in more than one category. He took home the Album of the Year, Best Music Video and the Best Male Artist awards.

Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as Dbanj, received a Lifetime Achievement Award, while Mercy Chinwo won for Best Gospel Music.
