Nollywood veteran actor Patrick Doyle has shared his thoughts on men proposing to their partners in public.
Doyle described it as an act of imbecility. The thespian believes that asking a woman to marry you is an act of intimacy that should not be done publicly but privately.
The actor pointed out that the new trend of men having to pay cameramen and other professionals to organize an event to propose to their girlfriend in public is “imbecilic.
He wrote, “Asking a woman to marry you is perhaps the most intimate experience any 2 persons can be engaged in outside of actual copulation.
This new unwholesome trend of having an entourage on hand with video cameras live streaming the act is, in my view, imbecilic.
The epidemic of narcissism and approval addiction consuming many makes me wonder if some people ever had any home training at all.”
