Controversial veteran musician and actor, Charles Oputa, widely known as Charly Boy, has assured that the work has just begun, judging by the massive turnout on the first day of the nationwide protest.

Following the outcome of the first day of the hunger protest, Charly Boy took to his X handle to congratulate the youths for their bravery, strength, and determination to come out in large numbers to reclaim their country.

Charly Boy expressed confidence in the youth, noting that the salvation of the country lies in the hands of its exceptional young people.

He noted that the protest was an affirmation that most Nigerians had woken up to the reality that the government did not care about them.

He also encouraged Nigerians to continue the protest in solidarity and to maintain pressure until the government understands that the system is changing.

Charly Boy wrote; "Brave, Strong and determined Nigerian youths, una make me proud today.

As most of us don awake from our slumber in the realization say gofment no care for us, no send us, we no go gree for people wey no gree for us. We must keep fighting to retrieve our stolen future.

Let’s keep the pressure up, because this devilish government must understand that the tide is changing.
They must never feel safe again, unless dey start doing the needful.
