The mother of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, well known as Mohbad has recently talked about her feelings on the first anniversary of her son's death.
The rumoured ear infection that claimed Mohbad's life on September 12 in Lagos is no longer news. Less than a day after his passing, he was laid to rest in his hometown, Ikorodu. Prior to his tragic death, he was signed to Naira Marley's label, Marlian Music.
Since then, there have been fruitless attempts to learn the real cause of his death.
Recently Mohbad's mother gave a speech during the coroner's inquest. She declared that she was fully in favour of the singer's father.
She stated that all decisions belong to him and requested that people pray for her late son in places of worship or mosques as they do not want a big celebration.
She said, “Whatever Mohbad’s dad says is the final. We don’t want any elaborate celebration of our son’s remembrance. The best you can do is to pray for him. You all should please leave us alone and let us settle our family.”
