Nigerians on Twitter have come for rapper MI Abaga after he slammed Akon for calling Wizkid's his "Lil bro".
Akon had shared a picture on Twitter showing him and Wizkid performing on stage at the AfroNation concert in Ghana which forced MI Abaga's reaction.
Reacting to the tweet's caption, MI Abaga wrote:
"I have an opinion: few African artists in diaspora actually did anything to REALLY help the movement.. as a fan of Wizkid (which I am) I don't see Wiz as lil bro to Akon.. he has overcome larger obstacles to accomplish way more (in my eyes).. In my opinion Wiz is lil bro to none".
His word didn't sit well with many on Twitter who dug out an old tweet of Wizkid in which he referred to Akon as his "big bro".

Wizkid calls Akon Big Bro. Why are you projecting? Let them be and focus on you. ????? pic.twitter.com/7shrbV4Kql

Wizkid to Akon might have a brother relationship, they might have bond outside business, MI stirring up issues is just a hint that he’s a trouble maker tbvh . Sometimes keep your opinion in your head especially when it could ruin certain positive relationships.

Akon tried his best, he came back to Africa promoting our artistes. He has invested both in music and infrastructure in Africa, atleast, he remembers home. In this 2020, don't be short in sense bro

Wizkid calls Dbanj his Big Bro, Calls 2Face a King & calls Akon a Big Bro. That Wizkid has become a Legend doesn't mean he wouldn't respect people who were there before him. MI is making a Fuss out of Nothing

Any day I see a tweet from a foolish influencer comparing Rema & Co to Wizkid in the name of PR, that day this street won't contain us all.
