The late Nigerian film actor John Okafor popularly known as Mr. Ibu was recently given a posthumous award at the third Humour Awards.

This honor acknowledged the late actor's noteworthy contributions to the entertainment industry, particularly in the comedy genre, before his untimely death on March 2, 2024.

The widow of Mr. Ibu, Stella Maris Okafor, gave a touching tribute and conveyed her gratitude for the honor.

She acknowledged the significant influence her late husband had on the entertainment industry and his followers in a heartfelt video message, saying he would have valued the recognition.
