Nigerian musician Joeboy lost a whopping N3 million after placing a bet on Real Madrid, who were defeated 3-0 by Arsenal in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday.

Hours before the match, Joeboy confidently shared a betting slip on social media, captioning it, "Cashing out on Arsenal tears tonight!"

Had Madrid secured a win at the Emirates Stadium, the "Controller" hitmaker stood a chance to pocket N10,345,000. However, Arsenal's Declan Rice delivered two stunning free kicks to put the Gunners ahead, with Mikel Merino adding a third to seal the victory.

The outcome left Joeboy at a loss for words, prompting him to simply tweet "Goodnight" after the match.

Arsenal now turn their focus to progressing to the semi-finals as they prepare for the return leg at the Santiago Bernabeu next Wednesday. Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta's team will first take on Brentford in their upcoming Premier League clash.
