A man has recounted the tale of a Nigerian living in Italy who was arrested after purchasing a €400,000 property without having a steady job.

In a TikTok video, the man went into further detail about the arrest. He revealed that although the Nigerian man had moved to Italy in 2016, he had just been working there for eight months.

His ability to buy a home sparked suspicions among authorities because of his lack of work experience.

Following the purchase, he was taken into custody and an inquiry was launched. He said during interrogation that the money for the transaction came from his job.

However, when the police looked through his work records, they discovered that he had only been employed for eight months since 2016.

Subsequent investigations revealed his participation in online fraud, often known as "Yahoo."

The narrator remarked: “He arrived in Italy in 2016, and after checking his employment records, authorities found that he had only worked for eight months.”

He was arrested after buying a house worth €400,000. During interrogation, he insisted the money came from his job, but further checks exposed his fraudulent activities.”

Social media users flooded the comment section with their responses to the incident as the video became viral. Many suggested that he should have said he was into crypto currency and that was how he got the money to purchase the house.
