Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola has received criticism following his meeting with Nigerian singers Wizkid and Burna Boy.

On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, Otedola took to his Instagram page to share photos of himself with the two Grammy Award-winning artistes and American music executive Cecil Hammond.

The business tycoon expressed his joy at sharing ideas and celebrating Afrobeat, captioning the photos, “A true privilege to host some of our biggest music icons. Always inspiring to share ideas and celebrate the global movement that is Afrobeats …F.Ote,” he captioned the post.

This post attracted several reactions from Nigerians who took to Otedola’s comment section to share their thoughts.

While some applauded his move, others pointed out their concern over his decision to host only Wizkid and Burna Boy and leaving out Davido.

A fan named @Orientanhonour noted that it was unwise of the billionaire not to include Davido in their meeting.

He urged the Otedola to be an elder and settle the rift between the superstars and not promote feuds.

He wrote, “Otedola, It's unwise hosting only Wizkid & Burna without involving OBO. More unwise not knowing ppl may say u're n support of their rift. Try being elder that settles rift not promoting. U've 48hrs to declare this meeting invalid & rehost a valid one with Wiz, Burna, OBO. Think. Bé wise.”
