Celebrities and other Nigerians are expressing their opinions as former president, Donald Trump makes a historic return to the presidency of the United States.

Israel DMW, the logistics manager of afrobeats singer Davido has linked the incident to that of Nigeria's voting system.

Notably, Donald Trump defeated Democrat Kamala Harris by a wide margin, earning more than 270 electoral college votes, and was proclaimed the victor of the US presidential election on Wednesday, November 6.

Israel DMW remarked that if the US had been like Nigeria, Trump would have lost the election in response to a post on Tunde Ednut's page about a singer who composed a Trump campaign song.

He wrote, “If US were to be Nigeria, Trump would have lost the election."
