Signee of Mavins Records Rema has opened up about some of the hardships he went through to get to where he is in life.
In an interview with Capital Xtra, the afrobeats musician said that his present success is a result of his perseverance and hard work. He revealed that to make ends meet, he had to work at a bar on a beach in Ghana.
Rema went on to say that since his father and brother had died and he was left to take care of everything by himself, he had a lot of responsibilities.
The award-winning musician claimed that because he had to put in a lot of effort to fulfil his objectives, his previous life had an impact on his present one.
He said: "At some point, things got hard and I hard to man up
My past life had the same effect on my current life, I had to work hard because I lost my brother and my dad Things were now left to me o had to put things in place so yeah I had to work hard I did all sorts of jobs I worked at a bar beach one of my first jobs in Ghana"
