In an interview with the Honest Bunch podcast, Nigerian intimacy coach Ajie Fortune Reuben sometimes referred to as The Girl Talker, explained her recent comments about her preference for dating married men over single ones.

The socialite claims that many unmarried men are unable to contribute as much as married ones. She continued by saying that no one would know if Davido started making advances toward her, and she would only get her fair share of him.

Social media users expressed their disapproval of her comments through a plethora of criticisms.

In a recent development, Ajie Reuben explained her decision to be a married man's mistress as opposed to a single man.

She said that the state of her relationships at the moment was a purposeful reality check to keep her from being vulnerable. Ajie Reuben mentioned that she had already been exposed to love, and she wished to avoid going through that again.

The self-awareness coach said that although she had preferred to be a married woman rather than a married man's mistress, things did not work out for her, so she was forced to end up in her current situation.

She went on to say that she was glad of how her prior experiences had shaped who she is now.

She said: "Don’t forget that life experiences shape people to make certain decisions in life so me being the other woman is a deliberate reality check to me not to be vulnerable again. I’ve been vulnerable, I’ve wanted to be the woman in the house. For some reasons, it didn’t work out, and I was aware of myself enough and timely to decide that, okay let’s put a halt to this life and chase other things; this one will definitely come. The career path you’re choosing, the happiness, the lifestyle—let’s chase that one and leave the husband.

"So I decide to be this way; I’m this way and I’m happy. I don’t think I’m destroying anybody’s home because their husband is my supposed boyfriend; that is not my business. Now my feelings are in check but I know that it is temporary. I’m not expecting too much because I don’t want to be disappointed, I have been disappointed and now I can handle disappointment better. Now when I decide to go home and be the woman in the house, I am done being outside."
